About the artist
Since the 90’s “Black and White” has been the nucleus of Qin Chong’s artistic creation and research, somehow inspired in the context of global news and the digital era we are living in. On the occasion of the 56th Venice Art Biennial, Qin Chong led a conference on “Black and White - A Matter of Principle” and discussed with experts from different faculties and coming together from different parts of the world, about the future of cultural perception of nations in times of gobalization.
Qin Chong’s works are in museum and private collections, they have been shown in galleries, museums and at international art fairs in Germany, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Italy, Switzerland and the US. Qin Chong gave lectures at Freie Universitaet Berlin and the Central Academy of Fine Arts Beijing and received scholarships of Switzerland and Germany. He lives in Beijing and Berlin.
